Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect information you give us and data about how you use the site. We use it to make your recommendations better. We don't sell your personal data to third parties. You can delete your account and data at any time.

What we collect

• Account info — name, email, and profile photo if you sign in with Google.
• Style profile — your survey answers, selected archetypes, style vector, color season, age, location, and hair/skin/eye details.
• Interactions — which products you click, save, or hide; which recommendations you accept or skip.
• Purchase signals — if an affiliate network reports a completed purchase linked to your click, we record that to improve future recommendations.
• Usage data — pages visited, session length, device type, and general location (country/region level).

How we use it

• To personalize product recommendations to your style, budget, and preferences.
• To improve our recommendation models over time — if you save something, we learn what resonates.
• To operate and improve the site.
• To communicate with you if you opt in (we don't send unsolicited emails).

Personalization and automated recommendations

FitFinder uses AI to generate personalized fashion recommendations based on your profile. This is automated, but it is not a high-stakes decision — it is a style suggestion. You can always ignore it, hide products you don't like, or update your profile to change what you see.

Your clicks and saves may inform future recommendations. You can opt out of personalization in your Profile settings.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a product link, we log that click for attribution and recommendation-improvement purposes. If you make a purchase, our affiliate network partner may share confirmation with us. We do not receive your payment details, shipping address, or any personal information from the retailer.

Third parties

• Google OAuth — for sign-in. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Cloudinary — stores outfit images you upload.
• Anthropic Claude — your style data is sent to Claude to generate recommendations. Anthropic's API data handling applies.
• Affiliate networks — Awin, Rakuten, and/or impact.com receive click data to track conversions.

We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

Your rights

• Delete account — removes your profile, style data, and interaction history from our systems.
• Export your data — request a copy of your stored style profile and preferences.
• Opt out of personalization — disable personalized recommendations in Profile settings.
• Correct your data — update your profile or retake the style quiz at any time.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPPA. EU/UK users have rights under GDPR. To exercise any of these, email privacy@fitfinder.co.

Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
